In Spring/Summer 2017 Eumetcal and DWD will offer training in radar meteorology and nowcasting tools for forecasters. This course has been run since 2008 and covers seven topics in radar meteorology.
The course format will be blended — the first part is an online phase (self-study and live presentations, tests, and homework for students), for the second phase group of students will attend a one-week classroom course at the DWD training centre in Langen. Registration for this course is now open and deadline for applications is 15 January 2017.
